Comparing and Scaling, Math Reflections Inv. 3 pg. 47 - use your book!



1a. The process for the unit rate could be the you divide 1.50 by 3 and get .5 and .5 times 3 equals 1.50.



1b. You could do price per pepper which means how much you pay per pepper you buy or you could do pepper per price which means pepper per money you spend.



1c. Picked today fruit stand sells peppers for .5 cents per pepper and fresh veggie sells peppers for .45 cents per pepper.





2.(Make a rate table for this problem for Picked Today. Hint- think of the independent variable – green peppers or total cost?)



3a.Write an equation to show the price for n peppers.

You could write an equation like this: price per pepper x n = total cost
